Last Sat my short film that I directed and Jason Jung wrote screened in front of a full house theatre. I can't tell you enough how grateful I am to the actors and actresses, my editor (Jimbo) and prod asst's that made this all possible. To see your work on the big screen and to see it accepted at major festivals is someting difficult to put into words. Though excited to see this project do well, I'm looking forward to my next film which promises to be much darker and complicated. So thanks again to everyone who made this all possible and watch for me on the "Brown Seoul" comedy tour. The baddest filipino and korean comics on this planet!

So last month I went on this national TOC tour. Started in New York then to Irvine, Hollywood, San Fran, Seattle and then Hawaii. What did I think?? Tireing, fun and just plain awesome. When I first became a comic I hoped that one day I would tour and share the stage with some of the most talented young comics that the U.S had to offer. Last week my hopes led to reality. What a pleasure it was to perform alongside my friends and colleagues for a month. I learned something from everyone who was touring. From Jami Gong I learned that when he sets out to do something that's going to be "big and huge, g,,g,good" he keeps to it. From Josh Kaufman I learned that being white isn't all that bad (especially when it's an ASIAN tour :), From Shawn Felipe that it's always good to have a special flight plan from L.A to Hawaii, From Shecky Wong that having an unlit stogie in your mouth can be pretty cool (but only on stage), From Rio that Japanese people can eat and eat and eat and never gain any weight (Rio, you hungry?) from Joey Guila that A good heart and politeness will always lead to explosive success (the next big thing), From PK that it's only ok to take your clothes out of the dryer when their "DRY" :) and to Paul Ogata who puts stand up comedy at a new level and will always be an inspiration to watch (102.7 Da Bomb). Together this group sold out several venues on tour, I wish I could go into detail of every city but you'll just have to wait for the DVD!! To all the comics and fans that went to our shows,, A heartfelt THANKS!!!

I returned yesterday from my trip to Asia and Jet lag is still apparent in my body. Singapore and Hong Kong!!! I still have to grasp the reality that I performed in those two areas. Singapore was the first stop at the 1 nite stand comedy club. Before you read on I have to make note that Singapore is a HOT place and the women even hotter. But anyway, we stormed in to do 2 shows there and killed it. The owner was pleasantly surprised at our performances that future gigs there seem to be inevitable. Can't wait to return. Next stop HK for 4 shows at the Edge. While nervous but equally excited for the start of our shows there,, all the comics were geard up and ready to take on a crowd that hasn't seen stand up comedy before in their lives. The result? Success! Success!! Success!! I performed with 4 other talented comics Jami Gong (our host) Josh Kaufman, Joey Guila, Shecky Wong and Paul Ogata. Jami had the crowd prepped and ready to take on Josh whose sarcastic wit tickled HK's funny bone while Shecky's Vegas style comedy wow'd them with something they've never seen before. Joey's hip urban style and his famous vocal percussion had them out of the seats while Paul's take on asia had these audience members rolling in hysterics!. Going to asia taught me alot about becoming a better comic and to try and get to know who your audience is going to be. I feel blessed that I had the chance to perform there with my friends and can't wait to return soon.

Alrighty!! Got back from doing some shows at Salt Lake City Utah and to sum it up in one word "Awkward". I performed there with friends of mine Joey Guila, Josh Kaufman, Rio, PK, Shawn Felipe and of course Jami Gong. Weirdly enough I was tagged as the dirty comic, "I" was tagged as the comic to keep your kids away from, "I" was the evil comedian,, and y'know what? "I" had alot of fun being that comic. For all of you that have seen my show, as you know I am not that blue,,, but to this Utah crowd I might as well of gotten up on stage and danced naked with 2 strippers while we eat mexican food with our hands waiting for explosive diarrhea to launch at the crowd. I actually walked 5 audience members during my set,, "AWESOME!". I've never done that before, sooo cool. I have to admit it was a different experience for me but for the crowd members that were a bit more open to the show,, Thanks again for the cheering and laughter. These shows were great. How strange also in Utah that if you want to go clubbing, you have to have a membership or go with someone who already has one to sponsor you to get in. I tell you if drinking and partying is your thing than Saly Lake City might not be the best destination. But if your there to meet polite people in a town that has scenery that is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! SLC is your place to be. So thank you SLC UTAH for the memories and Cheers to SLCC.

So here I am recapping my comedy life of 2004. And I have to admit that this past year has given me some great memories that'll stay with me for a long time. I met new friends along the way that will be with me for a long time, I got to travel to certain places like Vancouver, Houston and of course Hollywood. I know my skills as a comic have sharpened (or I hope) and I know that this still is just the beginning. To everyone I know,,,,,,"CHEERS!!!!" and I wish nothing but happiness health and good fortune for the upcoming year!!!

Yee Haa!!! Just got back from Houston Texas and what an interesting time that was. First I would like to put aside all the stereotypical nonsense that comes along with the state of TX. The women there are not at all as easy as they make it on TV. It took me almost a week and 2 shows at the improv to hook up with someone and that someone turned out to be my cousin :P . Gee maybe the stereotypes ARE true about TX!. Sorry but had to throw that in. Seriously,,, went to Houston to do my shows at the Houston Improv and as luck would have it,,, on my first day there and in the club I almost had my skull cracked open on the lobby door. This waiter flew through the swinging doors not knowing I was there and BAM!!! I knew I wasn't in Kansas anymore. I fell to the floor in a daze and with blood running down my face. The workers tried to stop the bleeding by taking this long bandaid and wrapping it around my head. But this only accomplished them into making me look like The Karate Kid. So as I laid there in pain making Ralph Macchio proud,, they asked if I wanted an ambulance because maybe I would need stitches. Personally I thought the ambulance Idea was just to get my Karate Kid ass out faster before any of the patrons see me. But I left on my own with my friends and went to a Dr. who examined me and said that while yes it was quite a blow,, he didn't think stitches would be necessary but didn't promise that there wouldn't be a scar. At this point I'm irritated and annoyed at the situation,,, but as my comedic friends arrived in Houston to share the stage with me I figured there's nothing I can do about it now except to unleash it in my blog for you fine web surfers to read. The two shows went great and I can't tell you enough how great it is to have friends that care for you and to share the same vision. To my friends who shared Houston with me Jami, Joey, Air, Josh, Grace, Ryo and a new comic I met Anthony. Thanks for making a really bad situation into a memory I'll never forget. Long live TOC!!!! Sank you!!

Ok,, to everyone who's been bugging me to update my blog (sorry it's been so long) here it is!! I've been doing nothing exciting but having non-stop sex with ex-girlfriends and loose women that I've been meeting in bars (yeah I wish). Seriously,, I have been staying busy in the last couple of weeks by doing some sets for the NY underground comedy festival and flying out to Vancouver for a few days to do a couple of auditions. Word has it that I'll be going out to LA in a few mos to try my hand out there. So I figure since the word is out, What the hell?? give it a shot right? My DTA is January and I'm really looking forward to it. I flew out a couple of weeks ago and the possibilities there are endless. Great comedy rooms, alot more auditions, and tons and tons of attractive women!! Wow what more can a comic ask for? But for now I'm still working my magic here in NY with my fellow comic friends, so catch me (and them) while you can and I'll see ya on the circuit. Cheers!!

Catching up on my Blog (my schedule has been pretty crazy) Did the second Take out Comedy show on Sat to a sold out house. These shows are so much fun it's really hard to try and explain on these blogs. A great crowd with alot of enthusiasm embraced the comics that performed that night. While I have to admit that I was kind of nervous for this show, I was overwhelmed by the support of my friends and other comics who make this dream of mine a reality. Can't wait for the next show, I think I'll convince the crowd to take off all their clothes and do shots one after the other. I'd like to see how different we can get on our shows. Until then CHEERS!!

So here I am 2 days later talking about the "official" Grand opening of the New York Improv last Tuesday. The guest list consisted of industry agents and managers, famous comedians and actors, and of course the up and coming comics that will soon grace the stage of the Improv in the near future. It was a night full of fun and excitement. I met Dave Attell (HUGE FAN) Jim Gaffigan and Richard Belzer and a long list of "A" listers whom I admire very much. I figure if I keep at this, I could be working at their level sometime soon (a dream come true). While hanging with my fellow comic friends we realized that just being at this opening does wonders for our confidence,, for it's not the fact that we think of ourselves as more important,, but that there was an open bar at the back of the club. So we toasted a couple back to a great party and and to celebrate the return of THE NEW YORK IMPROV. Here's to stand up comedy!! (GULP) Burrp!!!

Taping Of Take Out Comedy

Holy cow!! What a show at the New York Improv last night. Two shows 6 comics equaled one heck of a night. World Asia television taped a live show of Take Out Comedy for their network and barring some audio problems in the beginning, pulled off an incredible showcase of up and coming comics from both LA and NYC. First I took the stage to an uproarious crowd that looked great, sounded great, and was ready to have one hell of a night. I was having an incredible set until the last 30 seconds of my act in where the microphone died on me. I finished off my act by screaming my last joke at the crowd (which they seemed to enjoy) I got off to a really great ovation from the audience which I will always remember forever,,, This is what it's all about!! God I love this job. The producer of the show apologized for the mic incident and said it should all come out pretty well in post, so (fingers crossed) hopefully it will. And how were the other comics? Just plain incredible! I was honored to meet two LA comics that I've never seen, Joey Guila and Paul Ogata. Dam!! were they funny. Paul won the Xentopia stand up comedy contest in Hawaii and if his performance was half as good in Hawaii than it was last night then that crown of funniest asian comic is well deserved. He kept mocking on his size and how even Japanese people (who are usually small) poke fun at him. Just plain hysterical. Then there was Joey who hit the stage dancing to music and pulling off an impression of Yan Can Cook. But the killer point of his act is when he started busting into a human beat box on stage and got the crowd to it's feet. His act was side splitting. So as you can see the night was a huge success not only with the show but because I met so many great people performers and audiences alike. Like I stated earlier,, THIS IS A GREAT JOB, I WOULDN'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ELSE.

Ok it's been awhile since I wrote in this blog so I'll start with my show from last night at the Dunellen theatre. How do I think it went? well,,, for a NJ venue I think it went pretty well, people laughed then scoffed then laughed again. Couldn't really get a rhythm going. But as I closed out my set (with some new material) I got positive reaction, so the night actually became pretty productive in a matter of sense. The comics I performed with were Adam Glenn, Mike Bochetti and headliner Buddy Flip. I've seen these guys perform before but never really worked with them at the same venue. My respect for them continually grows as I sat back and watched them perform and realized that even though we might not all be famous or household names (YET),, it was a true pleasure to share the same stage with these guys. One thing I can really appreciate are the friends you make on your journey to greatness.

I came back from the festival yesterday with mixed emotions. I arrived at the festival on Wed and parked my car at a metered spot so I could check into my hotel. As soon as I returned I found a nice parking ticket on my car waiting for me (nothing like that to lift your spirits). There was a really unclear sign on when you could and couldn't park there, I fell victim to the couldn't. So I soaked it up and decided to put it behind me for the festival sake. I performed that night at the Comedy Vault with flare and confidence, and the audience returned my energy with laughter, applause and with some guy getting piss drunk at the back of the bar (love those beantown people). After partying with some of the festival performers and Bostonians, I decided to call it a night and head back to the hotel. Guess what was waiting for me when I passed my car?? ANOTHER DAM TICKET!!! These Boston parking cops need to loosen up a bit or get laid. They seem to get off on ticketing out of towners. Boston is a fun town with good people and a solid festival (chicks are pretty hot here too) but if you come,, I advise to take a train and get used to walking cause if not, expect to get pinched like yours truely. Oh and one more thing,,,,,,"GO NEW YORK GO NEW YORK GO!!"

I was at the NYCC last night and a woman caught my eye in the audience (actually she caught everybody's eye) she was wearing a hat with a huge stuffed spider on it. You heard correctly a HUGE stuffed spider. After the show she walked by me and said "Hello, my name is Black Widow, and I'm a dominatrix". Not something that you expect to hear from a pretty girls mouth, but I guess the hat should have raised a few flags. She told me that her specialty is hitting a guy when he's down on all fours, and that it's quite an experience. I can imagine that it would be something to remember,, but I feel it would just remind me of past childhood experiences that I would choose to forget (teachers in my elementary school can be so cruel). Anyway safe to say I declined her offer but for anyone that want's to pay for an ass whipping from a cute blond,, GOT HER NUMBER FOR YA.

The Take Out Comedy Competition was yesterday and once again I came in a close second. Soooo close to winning a trip to hawaii and performing at Xentopia in front of 10,000 people,, Wow I bet that would be an experience (all those half naked chicks laughing and greasing themselves up and,,) Anyway I'm sure it would be something to remember. While I'm a little bummed that I won't be attending, I'm very proud of the winners Air Tabigue(first competition) and Rome Kanda(wildcard competition). They are both really funny and are very deserving of this opportunity. So to both of you break a leg in Hawaii and ALOHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did a gig at Clearies yesterday night in Ct. I have to tell ya the crowd was mostly small town people with weird haircuts and fun attitudes. The show was sold out and I was the first performer (lucky me) I didn't think I connected to the audience right away with my brand of comedy but I felt that they finally warmed up to me, and as a result I had a blast up there. Was it worth a 3 hour ride to do this gig? Hmmmmmmm ask me next week when I start to sober up. See ya next time CT!!

Today I auditioned for the second season of NBC's Last Comic Standing. Today I also got rejected for the second season of NBC's Last Comic Standing (kind of sucks). I went in and thought I was doing well,, I was making one of the judges laugh while the other just kind of stared and gave no expression. I understand that you've been there for a long time, but geeze! lighten up it's a "COMEDY" audition not a Celine Dion concert. Nonetheless I gather with the thousands that didn't make it and look at the bright side of this. At least I'm not Dat :)

I did a show last night and in the audience were mostly jewish lawyers. Ever try and make a room full of lawyers laugh? Your better off trying to find a reason why the WNBA is still in existance. It was tough to try and crack the exterior, but fifty percent were attentive to the show, while the other half seemed like they were there because they had nothing better to do. So to those who laughed and had a good time Cheers to you!! For those that didn't,, there's always next time :) .

Had a show today at NYCC. I was supposed to go on earlier in the night, but was pushed to a much later time. Unfortunately a much later time translates into performing to a much smaller crowd. These audience members make a small show into something fun and interesting, everyone that stayed wanted to laugh, and that's what makes a good night of comedy. I hope I see some of these people again,, I met each one and they were just fun people. Oh, and also on a positive note I (unknowingly) performed in front of one of the owners of the Miami Improv. She shook my hand and said positive things about my show. MIAMI IMPROV HERE I COME!!
